The Enterprise visits Omicron Theta, the planet where Data was discovered 26 years ago, and finds the parts to another android identical in appearance. After being reassembled, it identifies itself as ‘Lore’, and calls Data ‘brother’. But Lore has a dark side, and holds a number of dangerous secrets.

Brent Spiner plays dual roles – the different personalities of Data and Lore come across well.
Nits
Well, once again Wesley saves the ship. As I said before, I don’t have a problem with Wesley saving the ship per se – if he is a genius, then it is possible. But I do have a problem when the crew is dumbed down. Witness Lore disguised as Data. He says, "It’s beautiful isn’t it!" when the crystalline entity appears on the viewscreen. And he addresses Commander Riker as just ‘Riker’, and doesn’t correct himself. Yet no one on the bridge crew picks up on this except the ever-alert Acting Ensign Crusher.
